Well I gave up on Mandrake and installed RH9.

When I get to the make installall part I put in KERNELDIR=usr/src/linux-2.4.20-8 which is what kernel I am running.

When I run it it says its Installing objects in 2.4.20-8custom

# make installall KERNELDIR=/usr/src/linux-2.4.20-8
sh ./scripts/install.sh /usr/src/linux-2.4.20-8
Installing objects in 2.4.20-8custom
cp -f example_scripts/x10.cm11a.sh /usr/local/etc/x10_cm11a
cp -f example_scripts/x10.cm17a.sh /usr/local/etc/x10_cm17a
cp -f example_scripts/x10.plusb.sh /usr/local/etc/x10_plusb
cp -f example_scripts/x10.pl.sh /usr/local/etc/x10_pl
cp -f utils/x10attach /usr/sbin/
cp -f utils/x10logd /usr/sbin/
cp -f utils/nbread /usr/bin/
cp -f utils/x10watch /usr/bin/
cp -f x10_pl.o x10_cm11a.o x10_cm17a.o x10_plusb.o /usr/local/lib/modules/2.4.20-8custom/kernel/drivers/char/x10

Why would it do that?
Is there a way to uninstall every thing so that I could start from scratch?
I ran the RPM but it did not seem to work so after messing with it all day I think I may need to start over.

Any help would be much appriciated. ( I just want it to work :( )

Thanks
Chris
