I have a CM11A that I use for controlling my x10 devices. I have
noticed that from time to time it just loses it's mind and refuses to
send commands, requiring me to unplug it from the power outlet for 15-30
seconds, then replug & restart the daemons.
I have numerous perl scripts that send commands by writing to x10 device
with nbecho. Is there some way to get a return code that tells me if
the actual sending of the command was a success/failure? I thought
about monitoring the syslog, but that seems like overkill and a bit of a
pain.
Anyone have advice?
FYI - I also have a Power Linc (serial) that I've used too, but that one
seems even less reliable than the CM11A so I've retired it.
