So I'm new to this, but I have used owfs, which is a similar idea for
mounting Dallas Semiconductor one-wire networks onto the filesystem.
It works very well, and it is entirely in userspace; it uses fuse. Has
anybody investigated using fuse for x10 devices? Would it be a bad
approach for some reason?
